D’ERLANGER #Sixx at Shinagawa Stellar Ball
“Tokyo, how are you?” the vocalist asked as the band returned for their encore. “Let’s play some more! Maybe some people couldn’t be here because of the typhoon so don’t forget to tell them how awesome the live was!” he said with a smirk. D’ERLANGER kicked open the encore with another classic, “Angelic Poetry.” kyo’s voice was at its best, going from sweet to harsh with ease. The teasing continued, mainly with kyo approaching CIPHER throughout the song, only for the other to hide his grins and coolly dismiss every approach. With a yell, kyo called SEELA to the front for the bass solo, then left so that SEELA and Tetsu were left alone on stage for a drum and bass battle. Always cheerful, Tetsu challenged SEELA with fast-paced, complicated tunes that the bassist played back on bass, adding some tricks of his own. The collaboration continued and Tetsu attempted to call the other two members back. After another couple of rounds, kyo and CIPHER eventually reappeared, cheering the other two with amused grins while sipping at their drinks, unfazed. The four reunited to bring the song to an end and the interaction between band and crowd was worthy of praise.
